BSc(ClinSci). MHSc(Osteo), Osteopathy Australia Member
Sam has always loved local sport – growing up contesting countless battles of backyard cricket, and playing numerous seasons in the regional basketball competition. In fact, Sam’s introduction to osteopathy actually occurred after a short-lived athletics and cross-country career. After literally stumbling across an injury or two, Sam’s recovery was largely thanks to osteopathic treatment. After witnessing great practitioners at work, a sense of curiosity had been sparked within her.
Sam graduated from Victoria University with both a Bachelor of Clinical Science and a Master of Health Science (Osteopathy). During her studies, Sam also undertook her clinical training at the Williamstown CYMS Football Club, where she worked as a sports trainer and still remains involved today.
A self-proclaimed nerd, Sam is always watching or reading something new to integrate into treatment. She loves to educate patients about their health, helping them to improve their movement and get them feeling better. Sam recently attended a visceral techniques course which looks at how the abdominal organs can influence your broader health.
Bitten by the travel bug, Sam has also been lucky enough to visit a small, but growing, slice of the world: volunteering in Cambodia, hiking in Peru and admiring the artistic masterpieces of France, Spain and Greece – please feel free to share a travel tale! Back home, Sam dabbles in yoga, enjoys a wander, and always loves good cup of peppermint tea.
